The domino papers of Antoinette Poisson
Antoinette Poisson is Vincent Farelly, Julie Stordiau (trained at the National Heritage Institute) and Jean-Baptiste Martin (master's degree in restoration at the Sorbonne). They met on restoration sites in Paris and decided to create Antoinette Poisson in 2012. From the beginning they wanted to offer domino paper as it was made in the 18th century.
The paper is handmade in an in Jacques Bréjoux's mill, one of the last old-style paper mills (which has earned it international fame). A paper similar to rag paper that was found in the 17th and 18th centuries.
The patterns, printing, painting are done by hand, with all the patience and precision that this requires, in their Parisian workshop. Antoinette Poisson domino papers are unique and rare pieces.
